Using Effects
The Fantom-S provides the following four types of effects. Each of these effects can be set
independently.
• Multi effect
This multi-effect unit provides 78 types (77 types on the Fantom-S) of effects such as distortion
and rotary.
• Chorus
This is an effect that adds depth and spaciousness to the sound.
• Reverb
This effect adds the reverberation that is characteristic of a performance heard in acoustical
spaces such as a hall.
• Mastering effect
This is a stereo compressor (limiter) that can be applied to the final output.
Switching the Effects On/Off
1.
Press [EFFECTS].
The Effects Routing screen will appear.

Press [8 (Effect Sw)].
The Effects Sw window will appear.

Press [1 (MFX1)]–[6 (Master)] to turn each effect switch on/off. Each time you
press a button the setting will alternate between on and off.
4.
When you have finished making settings, press [8 (Close)].
5. Press [EXIT] to return to the previous screen.
When you return to the Performance screen, the effect on/off settings will be displayed in the
following area.
