How to fix Roundup Toaster when buns are not toasting properly?
    • C
      Christian JenningsAug 19, 2025
If buns are not toasting properly on your Roundup Toaster, first, check the Bun Thickness Compression Controls. Set them to “D & 5” for models Mfg# 9210618 to 9210622, or to “B & 3” for models Mfg# 9210600 to 9210612. Also, ensure the toaster temperature is correctly set to SP-P 560 F (293° C) for the Platen and SP-A 400 F (204° C) for the Auxiliary. A dirty or worn Release Sheet can also cause this issue, so follow the cleaning and replacement procedure on the current MRC Card (TS 019). Additionally, ensure the bun temperature is above 150° F (65.6° C) and that the buns are properly cut.

What to do if Roundup VCT-250 Toaster is over-toasting the product?
    • T
      Traci HartmanAug 21, 2025
If your Roundup Toaster is over-toasting product, or the platen heat is too high, or the drop time is too slow, try these steps: First, reset the platen temperature to 560° F (293° C). Next, make sure the bun adjustment controls are set correctly. If the Groovy Belt Wraps are worn, clean or replace them. Also, clean or replace the Release Sheet if buns are sticking to it. Ensure the Groovy Belt is installed correctly.

How to troubleshoot Roundup Toaster conveyor belt chain that doesn't turn?
    • A
      afloresAug 23, 2025
If the conveyor belt chain on your Roundup Toaster does not turn or skips sprockets, it could be due to several reasons. First, check the compression knobs and ensure they are set correctly: “D & 5” for Mfg# 9210600, 602, 604, 618, 620, & 622, or “B & 3” for Mfg# 9210609 to 9210612. Next, verify the covers are installed correctly to activate the interlock switches, and repair or replace any damaged conveyor inner cover. If the conveyor chain is stretched, adjust it by setting compression knobs to 6 and F, then measure the gap using a U.S. Quarter (Heel/Club side) and a U.S. Dime coin (CROWN side), removing or adding links as necessary. Finally, adjust any bent Roller Tensioner to 13/16” (2.1 cm) or the height of a U.S. Nickel coin.

Why crown and/or heel must be forced into Roundup VCT-250?
    • K
      Kim VelezAug 26, 2025
If the crown and/or heel must be forced into your Roundup Toaster, it might be due to a few reasons. First, check if the Bun Feeder is improperly installed and reposition it. If the Groovy Belt Wrap is not tacky or is worn, clean or replace it. Also, ensure that the buns are inserted correctly, with cut faces inward, heel in the front slot, and crown in the rear slot. Clean the conveyor belt/chain if the Groovy Belt Wrap is slipping.

What causes buns sticking in Roundup VCT-250?
    • T
      Tracy HarperAug 28, 2025
If your Roundup Toaster's buns are sticking, it could be due to incorrectly set Compression Knobs. Ensure they are set to “D & 5” for models Mfg# 9210600, 602, 604, 618, 620, & 622, or “B & 3” for models Mfg# 9210609 to 9210612. Improper cleaning of the Release Sheet and/or Groovy Belt Wrap can also cause sticking, so follow the cleaning and/or replacement instructions on the current MRC Card (TS 019) and immediately clean the “APSC” off with a clean, dry towel dampened with sanitizer solutions. Also, check the Roller Tensioner and adjust or replace it if it's out of position.

What to do if only cooling fan works on Roundup VCT-250 Toaster?
    • V
      Virginia WashingtonAug 31, 2025
If the only part of your Roundup Toaster that operates is the cooling fan, and the conveyor and heat are inoperable, the Hi-Limit Control may have tripped open. Reset it according to the instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual. If it trips again, contact your Authorized Service Agency for service.

    • M
      mario12Sep 2, 2025
If the Groovy Belt wrap stops turning, but the conveyor chain continues to turn on your Roundup Toaster, the underside of the Groovy Belt and conveyor chain may have excessive caramelizing buildup. Clean the Belt Wrap and Conveyor Belt Chain as per current MRC Card (TS 019).

Why platen is hot but Conveyor Belt Chains do not move in Roundup VCT-250?
    • M
      Margaret GonzalezSep 4, 2025
If your Roundup Toaster's platen is hot, but the conveyor belt chains do not move, it could be due to a few reasons. First, ensure that the Conveyor Cover assemblies are installed. Next, check that the Conveyor Belt Chains are installed correctly, matching the diagram. Also, verify that the Conveyor Interlock Switches are activated by the Conveyor covers by installing the Conveyor Cover assembly correctly.

What causes Roundup Toaster to under toast product?
    • N
      Nancy JacksonSep 6, 2025
If your Roundup Toaster is under toasting product, or the platen heat is too low, or the drop time is too fast, reset platen temperature. Also, ensure the Bun Thickness Compression Controls are set to “D & 5” (for Mfg# 9210600, 602, 604, 618, 620, & 622) or “B & 3” (for Mfg# 9210609 to 9210612).

Why is the flap on Roundup VCT-250's Belt Wrap tearing?
    • M
      Matthew FuentesSep 9, 2025
If the flap covering the connecting hinge or wavy rib on the Belt Wrap of your Roundup Toaster is getting torn or worn, it could be because the inner Conveyor Cover has been damaged. Repair or replace the inner conveyor cover. Alternatively, the Groovy Belt Wrap may have been installed upside down. Reinstall it with the flap down.
