7.12 Status Response Messages
If a XPDR Fail or System Fail is reported in the ACK message, then one or more of the conditions shown
below in the block diagram has failed. To determine the precise failure, the status response message (Type
0x83) must be requested. The Status response message reports both power up and continuously run Built-
In-Test (BIT). If the XPDR Fail is flagged, then this message explains why it has failed. If the System Fail is
flagged, then the Status response message should be queried for full System status.
