Why are my Sam Medical Equipment applicators vibrating and red?

  The applicators vibrate and display a red LED notification because the device has entered ‘sam Sensing Mode’. Each applicator has closed-loop continuous temperature monitoring to keep treatment site temperatures below 44°C. If the treatment site gets too hot, the applicator pauses ultrasound output and vibrates. Treatment will automatically resume with a blue LED notification after the site has cooled. Note: Avoid covering the applicator with thick insulating material, as this may cause the device to disable and remain disabled.

  First, ensure the applicator is fully connected to the power controller wire jack and/or the Y-adapter wire jack. If the device was recently in sam Sensing Mode, allow time for the applicator to cool to normal operating temperature, indicated by the LED turning from red to blue.

  Turn off the device. Remove the used sam Ultrasound Coupling Patch from the applicator and replace it with a new one.
