Installation
Î To mount the actuator, proceed as de-
scribed in the associated actuator docu-
mentation, e.g.:
− uEB8310-1 for Type3271 and
Type3277 Pneumatic Actuators with
120cm² actuator area
− uEB8310-4 for Type3271 and
Type3277 Pneumatic Actuators with
355v2cm² actuator area
− uEB8310-5 for Type3271 and
Type3277 Pneumatic Actuators with
175v2, 350v2 and 750v2cm² actu-
ator areas
− uEB8310-6 for Type3271 and
Type3277 Pneumatic Actuators with
240, 350 and 700cm² actuator ar-
eas
− uEB8313-1 for Type3372 Electro-
pneumatic Actuator with integrated
i/p converter
− uEB8313-3 for Type3372 Electro-
pneumatic Actuator with 120 and
350cm² actuator areas and
Type3725 Positioner
− uEB8315 for Type3379 Pneumatic
Actuator
Î After the control valve has been installed
in the pipeline, attach the required con-
nections to the actuator mounted on the
valve.
5.3.2 Installing the valve into
the pipeline
Risk of valve damage due to work being
carried out by personnel not qualied for
such tasks.
The plant operator or specialist company
performing the welding is responsible for the
selection of the welding procedure and the
actual welding operations on the valve. This
also applies to any required heat treatment
to be performed on the valve.
Î Only allow qualied welding personnel
to carry out welding operations.
a) Version with welding ends
1. Close the shut-off valves in the pipeline
at the inlet and outlet of the plant section
while the valve is being installed.
2. Prepare the relevant section of the pipe-
line for installing the valve.
3. Remove the protective caps from the
valve ports before installing the valve.
4. Lift the valve to the site of installation (see
the 'Lifting the valve' chapter). Observe
the ow direction through the valve. The
arrow on the valve indicates the direction
of ow.
5. Undo the clamp connection and remove
the entire valve-actuator extension from
the valve body.
6. Weld the valve body free of stress into
the pipeline.
