If a device contains a substance listed as a substance of very high concern (SVHC) on the
candidate list of the REACH regulation, the document "Additional Information on Your In-
quiry/Order" is added to the SAMSON order documents. This document includes the as-
signed SCIP number, which can be entered into the database on the European Chemicals
Agency (ECHA) website (uhttps://www.echa.europa.eu/scip-database) to nd out
more information on the SVHC contained in the device.

1.1 Notes on possible severe personal injury

Risk of bursting in pressure equipment.
Valves and pipelines are pressure equipment. Excessive pressurization or improper
opening can lead to valve components bursting.
Î Observe the maximum permissible pressure for valve and plant.
Î Before starting any work on the control valve, depressurize all plant sections affect-
ed as well as the valve.
Î Drain the process medium from the plant sections affected as well as from the valve.
