Chapter 7. Recovering the Computer
Q7 Pressing <Fn>+< > keys while running a game may cause
abnormal operation of the system.
A Do not press <Fn>+< > keys while a game is running, because it may cause
a system error.
Q8 Some part of a game image is not displayed or is displayed in
black.
A This may happen when running a game designed for DirectX 8.1, such as NHL
2003, MVP Baseball 2003, etc.
Q9 The game screen is displayed small.
A This may happen when the display settings are set to zoom out mode (‘Use center
output’). Change the settings as follows to fit the game screen to the LCD screen.
1. Right-click over the Desktop and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
2. In the [Display Properties] window, select the Settings tab > Advanced >
GeForce Go 6600 tab.
3. Select the nView item, set the nView mode to 'Single Display' and set the
Current Display to 'Laptop Display'.
4. Right-click over the figure of the Digital Display Device and then click Adjust
Screen.
5. Select ‘Use Display Adapter Scaling’ and then click the Apply button.
Q10 The game play screen frequently stops and starts.
A This may happen when the PowerMizer Settings are set to ‘Maximum Power
Saving Function’ or ‘Balanced’.

Right-click over the Desktop and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
2. In the [Display Properties] window, select the Settings tab > Advanced >
GeForce Go 6600.
3. Select the PowerMizer item, slide the AC outlet and the battery sliders to
Maximum Performance and then click the Apply button.
Q11 The picture is not displayed properly for some games.
A Some games such as 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone', ‘Harry Potter and
the Chamber of Secrets', etc. may not display the picture properly when the
screen resolution is set to 1024x768 and the color quality is set to 32 bit.
For these games, set the screen resolution to 1024x768, and the color quality to
16 bit.
