Before you insert the batteries, check the NiMH / Alkaline switch position. If you use non-rechargeable
batteries, make sure the NiMH / Alkaline switch which located inside the battery compartment is
switched to Alkaline position. If you use rechargeable batteries, make sure to switch NiMH / Alkaline
switch to NiMH position.
Battery operation
Open the battery cover on the rear of the unit by pushing the latch downward.

NOTE
When using alkaline batteries the battery switch must be
placed in the alkaline position. Failure to do so could result
in serious damage to the batteries or radio.
Insert 4xLR6 (AA size) batteries into the space in the compartment. Ensure the batteries are
inserted in accordance with the diagram shown. Close the battery compartment door.
