Setting the date and time
To turn password protection on:
1.  Select MENU by pressing the left Softkey.
2.  Use the adjustment wheel to select Setup and confirm by pressing the 
operating button or the Softkey for OK.
3.   Use the adjustment wheel to select Passwords and confirm by pressing the 
operating button or the Softkey for OK.
4.   Use the adjustment wheel to select Login. This also shows whether 
password protection is currently ON or OFF.
5.   Switch from OFF to ON by pressing the operating button or the Softkey 
for OK.
6.   The pipette will ask for a password. Either:
a. Enter the administrator password
OR
b. If no password has yet been set, enter the default administrator 
password 0000
7.  The word ON next to Login confirms that password protection is enabled.
To log in using an administrator or user profile:
1.   The pipette will ask for a password.
2.   Use the adjustment wheel to select the first number of the administrator 
or user password. Confirm by pressing the operating button or the Softkey 
for OK.
3.   Repeat step 2 for the next three digits. Once the last number of the 
password is confirmed, the user is logged in.
To log out:
1.  Password protection must be enabled and administrator/user passwords 
set (see above).
2.  Press the power button briefly to log out. This cannot be done while using 
any of the modes.
To turn off password protection:
1.   Log in using the administrator profile (only in Picus® NxT).
2.   Select MENU by pressing the left Softkey.
3.   Use the adjustment wheel to select Setup and confirm by pressing the 
operating button or the Softkey for OK.
4.   Use the adjustment wheel to select Passwords and confirm by pressing the 
operating button or the Softkey for OK.
5.   Use the adjustment wheel to select Login. ON will be displayed next to 
Login if password protection is enabled.
6.  Switch password protection to OFF by pressing the operating button or 
the Softkey for OK.
 
3.4.11. Date and Time (only in Picus® NxT)
The Picus® NxT pipette has a calendar and clock that are used for reminders 
and timers. The date and time are asked for during the initial setup of the 
pipette, but can also be modified later.
To change the date and time:
1.   If password protection is enabled, log in using the administrator profile.
2.   Select MENU by pressing the left Softkey.
3.   Use the adjustment wheel to select Setup and confirm by pressing the 
operating button or the Softkey for OK.
4.   Use the adjustment wheel to select Date & time. Confirm by pressing the 
operating button or the Softkey for OK.
5.   Use the adjustment wheel to change the highlighted digit. Confirm the 
change and move to the next digit by pressing the operating button or 
the Softkey for OK. To return to the previous digit, use the Softkey for 
PREV.
6.   Once the final digit has been selected, save the changes by pressing the 
operating button or the Softkey for SAVE. To discard your changes at any 
point, press the Softkey for BACK.
