3.4.12. Reminders (only in Picus® NxT)
Picus® NxT has built in reminders for Maintenance, Calibration, and Pipette
checking. The reminders help the user to remember important service dates.
Having the pipettes maintained and calibrated at regular intervals is an
important factor in ensuring the quality and accuracy of results.
Reminders can be set to time and/or cycle intervals. For example, a calibration
reminder can be set for six months or 5 000 pipetting cycles, whichever comes
first. When the criteria is reached, the pipette notifies the user with a message
and sound.
With time-based reminders for maintenance and calibration, the pipette also
alerts the user 14 days before the set date.
To set a reminder:

2. Select MENU by pressing the left Softkey.

c. Cycles: shows the number of pipetting cycles between maintenance,
calibration, and/or checks. The number options are OFF and from 100
to 20000. Use the adjustment wheel to change the number of cycles.
Confirm the change and move to the next setting by pressing the

NOTE! If both time intervals and number of cycles are set, the reminder will
