3. Unscrew the cylinder foot nuts and pull the cylinder away from the
crankcase. Hold the piston by the connecting rod to prevent it from
striking against the crankcase.
NOTICE!
Damage to the piston
The piston may be damaged if it strikes against the
crankcase while work is carried out on the cylinder or
connecting rod.
–
Always support or hold the piston while work is car-
ried out.
4. Carefully support the piston on the crankcase.
5. Remove the gasket between the cylinder and the crankcase.
The pistons must be removed in the following order of com-
pression stages: 1 - 4 - 3 - 2.
