1.2 Product Description
1.2.1 Performance Characteristics and Function
Medical endoscopy
The present product is a light source for use in medical endoscopy.
White light with a
CRI >90
The light source provides white light with a color rendering index of CRI R
a
>90.
The high color rendering index allows for a particularly natural color representa-
tion of the endoscopic image.
Auto light control
If a compatible camera system with automatic light control is connected, the re-
quired light intensity can be controlled fully automatic.
Multi-light-guide
adapter
The multi-light-guide adapter allows the light source to be connected with light
guides manufactured by Storz, Olympus and Richard Wolf.
Remote controlled
With a compatible camera system, the light source functions can be remotely con-
trolled, for instance using the camera head buttons.
Display
Operation instructions and other messages are shown on the device display.
Safe
After a power failure, the light source will restart in standby mode. This prevents
any unintentional light emission.
Glare protection
Without a connected light guide, no light can be emitted.
Silent
The light source is designed to be inaudible, even from short distances. This con-
tributes to improving OR working conditions and reducing stress.
Defibrillation-proof type CF
The light source meets the high defibrillation-proof type CF standard.
EMC Class B
The device is suitable for operation in residential environments and such places
that are connected immediately to a low voltage power supply network, that (also)
provides for residential buildings.
