C. THE HELMET
30 31
EN
3. ANATOMY OF THE HELMET
4. INNER AND OUTER SHELL
The helmet‘s outer shell combines an optimal aerodynamic form with consistent protection.
It is comprised of a special matrix that gives the helmet the high rigidity required for optimal
protection.
Warning:
The protective helmet is intended solely for the absorption of one strike or impact.
After a crash, accident or other application of force, the helmet must be replaced.
The inner shell is constructed in multiple segments to optimise its vibration absorption
performance for maximum security.
5. AERODYNAMICS AND AEROACOUSTICS
AERODYNAMICS
Even at higher speeds, the helmet produces almost no lift, develops almost no air resistance
and delivers optimal directional stability.
Note:
On full fairing motorcycles, the fairing can produce air currents that impact the
aerodynamic performance of the helmet.

AEROACOUSTICS
SCHUBERTH works extensively in the wind tunnel when
designing its products to ensure that the helmets are
pleasantly quiet when riding, promoting higher
concentration in its riders, especially at
higher speeds.
Note:
Motorcycle type, fairing, seat position and body size impact the aeroacoustic
performance of the helmet. For full fairing motorcycles, the fairing can produce air
currents that impact the aeroacoustic performance of the helmet.
Warning:
Because wind noise is perceived acoustically as quieter within the helmet, riders may
underestimate their speed. Be sure to keep an eye on the speedometer.
6. CHIN STRAP
The helmet is delivered with a ratchet-style closure.
This closure system makes it easy to adjust the chin strap
to your head each time you put on the helmet.
SETTING THE CHIN STRAP LENGTH
The length of the chin strap can be adjusted by
lengthening or shortening the chin strap within the
metal clasp.
