LUBRICATION
CAUTION – DO NOT CLEAN, LUBRICATE, OR ADJUST YOUR SCHULER MIXER/
FEEDER WHILE IT IS RUNNING. SHUT OFF TRACTOR ENGINE, PLACE KEY IN POCKET, AND
DISCONNECT TRACTOR PTO LEVER BEFORE DOING ANY WORK ON YOUR MIXER.
Use a good quality water resistant lithium soap bearing grease. Proper lubrication is the best
insurance against delays and repairs and greatly increases the life of the machine.
The Schuler Mixer/Feeder is designed to require a minimum amount of lubrication, with precision,
triple lip, sealed bearings widely used. However, the points that are to be lubricated should be
serviced regularly, at the intervals listed. DO NOT OVER GREASE.
Keep your supply of lubricating oil and grease stored in clean containers and covered to protect from
dust and dirt. Always use a good quality water resistant lithium soap bearing grease.
Keep lubricating gun nozzle clean and wipe dirt from grease fittings before lubricating.
ROLLER CHAINS
Lubricate roller chains periodically with a #90 gear lube (for excellent cling) or a high quality
professional chain lubricant.
