OVER-TEMPERATURE PROTECTION DEVICES
E106 – New format
Instruments with the E106 installed are serial
numbers JR46040231 forward, MS46040120
forward, and HP03050060 forward, and all LS
blocks.
How to replace an E106
The E106 is mounted onto the side of the block
with two Phillips-head screws. There is no polarity to
this device—simply connect one end to the wire that
runs to pin 2 of the voltage selector switch, and the
other end to the wire that runs to pin 7 of the umbilical
cord.
W137 – Old format
Instruments with the W137 installed are serial
numbers JR46040231 and earlier, MS46040120
and earlier, and HP03050060 and earlier. No LS
blocks have this device installed.
How to replace a W137
The W137 is a cylindrical device that inserts into
the block itself. This model does not have quick
disconnects and must be soldered and isolated with
shrink wrap tubing to ensure a secure connection.
Like the E106, there is no polarity to this device—
simply connect one end to the wire that runs to pin 2
of the voltage selector switch, and the other side to
pin 7 of the umbilical cord
