5. CPU and general component verifi cation

SYMPTOMS
The following symptoms must be verifi ed before
going into more detail.
1. The block is over shooting the set point
temperature, and the temperature keeps
climbing;
• Check the Heater Drive Circuit
• Ensure correct block has been selected.
The voltage selector switch of the heating
block is in the correct position.
2. The block is not heating;
• Ensure the DigiSET dongle is installed.
• The power cable is connected.
• Ensure the Voltage Selector Switch of the
heating block is at the appropriate voltage.
• Verify that the 180
o
C NC Thermal Switch
is closed.
• Check resistance of heater according to
the DigiBLOCK size.
• Verify the 450
o
C Thermostat is closed for
HT.
3. The block is heating very slowly;
• Ensure that the voltage selector switch of
the heating block is at the correct position.
• Ensure correct block has been selected.
4. No display and no back light;
• Check fuse F1.
•
Check the 2 15A fuses inside the TS
housing.
