Establishing a Serviceable Powerbase
The Serviceable Powerbase is the launch point for many
service procedures. Throughout this Service Manual you
will be instructed to “establish a Serviceable Powerbase” or
“reassemble from a Serviceable Powerbase,” which means
to remove (or reassemble) the following components on the
Segway PT:
• LeanSteer Frame (page 1–5)
• LeanSteer Stem (page 1–6)
• Mats (page 2–2)
• Batteries (page 3–2)
• Tire/Wheel Assemblies
− i2 SE (page 4–2)
− x2 SE (page 4–3)
− x2 SE Turf (page 4–4)
• Fenders
− i2 SE (page 5–2)
− x2 SE (page 5–3)
• Powerbase Trim
− Gearbox Cover (page 6–2)
− Console Cover (page 6–3)
− Fascia (page 6–4)
• Gearbox (page 7–2).
NOTICE
In some cases, the Serviceable Powerbase will be used as
a replaceable module. Note that the unit serial number
and InfoKey Controller are associated with the Serviceable
Powerbase.
