2) Greasing points (lubrication).
Before starting lubrication at the greasing points, remove
impurities from the grease dispensers Fig. 51 indicates all
the lubrication points. Use the grease prescribed in the
lubricant table see par “6.3. Lubricant table”
if the machine is used in critical or anyway
severe working conditions is advised to
shorten the time between the maintenance
operations.
EVERY 200 HOURS
3) Checking the blades
Check the position and the wear on the auger blades (2-
Fig. 52) and the wear on the counter blades (3-Fig. 52).
Make sure that the main switch is
disconnected.
In order to carry out maintenance of the blades it is
necessary to enter into the body of the machine.
Therefore all the possible precautions should be taken. To
this end take the following precautions:
A) To avoid accidents:
1) Stop the electric motor, disconnecting the main
witch.
B) To avoid problems with the blades:
1) Operate with heavy leather gloves.
2) Wear heavy, cut-resistant work boots.
3) Cover the part of the augers on which you have to
walk with a wooden board to avoid slipping during
work.
4) Move with care, as the blades are very sharp.
C) Carry out the setting, rotation or substitution
operations of the tools as indicated.
The blade (1-Fig. 52), after unscrewing the nut that blocks
the rotation, has to be fixed in such a way that the A point
has to fit together with the external auger profile.
