8. TROUBLE-SHOOTING
Use adequate tools and protection.
Problem Cause Remedy
Auger stop Clogging of material - Proceed to the counter-rotation of the
augers.
Breakage of the transmission chain - Repair the chain using a joining link
- Check the possible reasons of the
failure, which can be: - not sharpened
knives - rotated knives - material
extremely resistant to cutting
The propeller shaft doesn't turn - Cut the propeller shaft key
Unloading belt The solenoid valve doesn't work - Check the electric control connections,
if necessary repair.
Broken tubing - Replace
Clogged filter - Replace the filter
Hydraulic pump not working - Replace the pump
Hydraulic motor out of service - Replace the hydraulic motor
Cut hydraulic motor key - Replace the key
Lack of oil - Restore the level
No augers reverse Damaged or unset pressure switch - Change or reset the pressure switch or
call SEKO assistance
Hydraulic pump or motor out of
service
- Call SEKO assistance
Frequently augers reverse Clogging of material - Check the possible reasons of the
failure, which can be: - not sharpened
knives - rotated knives - material
extremely resistant to cutting
Damaged or unset pressure switch - Change or reset the pressure switch or
call SEKO assistance
Damaged or unset timer - Change or reset the timer or call SEKO
assistance
Augers dephased - Make the timing (see par 5.2 Timing of
augers” of this manual).
Discharge door doesn't open Press-button doesn't switch over - Replace or call SEKO assistance
The solenoid valve doesn't work - Check the electric control connections,
if necessary repair.
The discharge door is embedded - Reset the bearings bush.
Noises from the tank Chains loosening - Adjust
Broken bearings - Replace
Reduction gears without oil - Fill up
Chains without oil - Lubricate the transmission chains
Counter blades or augers blades are
broken or loosen
- Replace or fix
Noises from the hydraulic motor or
pump
Motor or pump are broken - Replace or call SEKO assistance
The electric motor doesn't work Termic block - Leave the motor to cool and see
instructions for controls use in this
manual to restart it.
Fuse blowed - Replace
Damaged electric motor - Call SEKO assistance
