7. Camera Exposure Profiling
It is necessary to test the cameras sensitivity, measure the actual dynamic range and know the
clipping points of your digital camera and/or type of film and processing used before programming
the L-758DR (L-758D/L-758CINE) meter for Exposure Profiling. Film exposures should be evalu-
ated by scanning the film first and then evaluating the images in a photo application software. The
use of a transmission/reflective densitometer can also be used if film scanning is not possible or
desired.
Reference:
The dynamic range settings and the clipping point settings can be switched, if it is necessary
to create clipping points within the dynamic range. In this case, simple enter the dynamic
range data in the clipping point cells and the clipping points in the dynamic range cells.
For details, please refer to the Software Guide found on the CD-ROM included with this
product.
Note:
Data Transfer Software and Software Guide (Testing procedure, Image analyzing and
Data enter) are preliminary for still photography use. For more information, please visit us
