[5] Video Troubleshooting
<At the time of AVC connection> No picture on the display (1)-1
No picture appears on LCD at the time of AVC connection.
Checklist:
1) Is “INPUT SOURCE” button on the remote control set up correctly? • • • Set it as the external input of the favorite with the INPUT
SOURCE button of the remote control.
2) Is MENU-Picture-Backlight/Contrast/Brightness set to “MIN”? • • • Set it to an appropriate level.
3) Is the level of pin (12) (13) of IC6004 (TMDS-SW) at “H”? • • • These are serial communications lines (I2C) for the control. If it is “L”, check
whether something pulls it to “L”.
4) IF-UNIT power supply input • • • Check whether BU5V is inputted into PD (P5801) 6/7pin, and UR15V is inputted into PE (P5802) 1/2pin.
5) LCD-CTL-UNIT power supply input • • • Check whether VCC (12V) is inputted into LC (P4802) 9/10pin.
(IF-UNIT) YES
IF-UNIT output part: Is the LVDS_ [TA1:TD1] ± signal outputted
to the pin (40-28) of LW connector (SC7901)? and Is the
LVDS_[TA2:TD2] ± signal outputted to the pin (26-14)?
NO
Is the FPGA_R/G/B [0:9] signal inputted into the pin (76-112) of
IC7502 (LVDS_TX)?
YES Check the LVDS output signal (71-56) pin of IC7502 (LVDS_TX),
a power supply (3.3V), and soldering.
NO
It seems that abnormalities are between IC7103 (FPGA), IC6201
(DECODER), and a HDMI input. Please return in front.
(IF-UNIT)
Is the difference input signal (RX
[0:C] ±) inputted into [25-35] pin of
IC6004 (TMDS-SW) normally?
NO Is IC6001 (E2PROM) accessed by
I2C, and is data read from (5) (6) pin?
NO Check the peripheral circuit of a
HDMI terminal (SC6001), and con-
nection of a HDMI terminal.
YES YES
Is the signal of IC6102 (HDMI_RX)
and IC6052 (LVDS_TX) outputted
normally?
Check whether there is any I2C
access in the EDID data re-writing of
IC6001 (E2PROM).
NO Check the I2C line of IC6003 (I2C-
SW) and IC7002 (MICON), and the
EDID_WP signal of IC6702 (CPLD).
YES YES
Is differential output signal, of IC6201
(DECODER) outputted normally?
Check the peripheral circuit of HDMI
terminal (SC6001) and IC6004
(TMDS-SW).
YES
Check the power supply and solder-
ing of IC7103 (FPGA). Or replace.
YES
When you still do not understand,
replace IF-UNIT.
