Overview
Google apps are preinstalled in your phone for enhanced user experience.
To enjoy the convenience brought by Google apps, you have to register a
Google™ account. If you already have a Gmail™ account, you can use it as a
Google™ account to sign in Google apps.
This chapter only gives a general introduction of the Google applications. For
more details, refer to their related instructions on their ocial websites.
Gmail
Gmail™ is a user-friendly and secure email service. Once you sign in or
set up Gmail™ account on your phone, you can send/receive emails,
synchronize your emails across devices with Gmail™ installed, and access
other communication and productivity features like Google Workspace, which
emcompasses Google Meet™, Google Duo™, and Google Drive™.
Chrome
Chrome™ is a cross-platform, minimalistic user-interface browser enabling
you to surf the Internet with decent performance. By signing in or setting
up your Google™ account, Chrome™ allows users to synchronize their
bookmarks and search histories across devices with Chrome™ installed.
Play Store
Play™ Store is the ocial app store for Android™ devices. Just sign in or set
up your Google™ account to browse and download millions of apps published
through Google™, such as games, music, comics, books, videos, learning
tools and more. Some apps may require extra charges.
Photos
Photos™ is a photo album service native in Android™ devices with fast
sharing, searching and organizing features. All the images you capture with
your phone are automatically saved and organized into predefined categories
by Google Photos™. In addition, this photo album service by Google™ oers a
fast search for users to find their photos fast. The photos in Google Photos™
can be shared easily across platforms.
Maps
Maps™ brings rich web-mapping services to your phone. Its features include
satellite images, aerial images, street maps, 360-degree interactive views,
real-time trac conditions, business listings and route planning by various
transportation methods.
