Staple jam removal
“REMOVE STAPLER AND CHECK IT.” will be displayed as a key
operator assistance call if staples become jammed in the stapler of
optional staple sorter SF-S53. Remove the jammed staples follow-
ing the instructions of your key operator.
Turn off the copier and open the stapler cover.
Loosen the screw securing the stapler.
Pull out the stapler.

The stapler is connected to the staple sorter by a cable. Use
caution in handling the stapler so that the cable does not be-
come damaged.
Press down and hold the green release lever on top of
the stapler unit and slide the green lever on the face of
the stapler up to provide access to the jammed staple.
