SECTION 3 – COMPONENT REPAIR
PRINTHEAD CRADLE ASSEMBLY
ADJUSTABLE SLIP CLUTCH
The adjustable slip clutch is contained in the pulley
that directly drives the ribbon rewind hub.
Some of the procedures in this section require that
the electrical power to the machine remain ON.
1. Open the cradle cover, and locate the ribbon
rewind hub. Press the “Feed” button on the printer
control panel and watch the slip clutch. If the
secondary drive belt is turning and the ribbon
rewind hub is not, the slip clutch is either out of
adjustment or needs replacement.
TESTING
USE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE SERVICING
A MACHINE
WHILE POWER IS APPLIED.
UNEXPECTED MACHINE STARTUP CAN
CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.
