Seal wire will not heat up.
1. Seal time set too low.
2. Loose or broken seal wire.
3. Faulty solid state relay.
4. Faulty transformer.
5. “Home” position sensor out of
adjustment.
1. Increase “Seal Time” on the “Settings
menu in .1 second increments and check
the bag seals after cycling.
2. Refer to Sealpoint Components
Section (page 3-135).
3. Refer to Solid State Relay Section
(page 3-35).
4. Refer to Transformers Section (page
3-22).
5. Refer to Jaw Position Sensors Section
(page 3-146) to set correct position.

Bag does not open.
1. Bag film is incorrectly
threaded into the machine.
2. Bags are not centered on the
drive roller.
3. Bag openings are not
registered below air flow
(incorrect bag length).
4. Obstructed or no air flow.
5. Excessive static.
1. Ensure the bags are on the unwind
shaft such that the bags come off the
bottom of the roll and up to the drive
roller.
2. Adjust roll of bags on unwind shaft to
the center of machine. Open cradle and
adjust web path.
3. Adjust bag length to allow perforations
to be between drive rollers and pressure
bar.
4. Check the Cross Flow Fan (page 3-
108) and cradle duct for obstructions.
5. Try a different roll of bags to see if
problems persist. If bags are still
causing problems, contact the Sharp
Packaging Systems Inc. service line.
Bags do not separate.

and securely latched.
3. Replace or upgrade to Cradle Lock
Cams (page 3-74).
4. Clean the film feed roller following the
Cleaning procedure on page 2-3.
