Function Description
The NOKEE-U display offers a comprehensive set of functions to enhance the E-bike riding experience. Key functionalities include:
- Battery Indication: Displays the current battery level with a 5-bar indicator, where each bar represents approximately 20% capacity. A blinking battery box indicates low battery and the need for immediate charging.
- Speed Indication: Shows real-time running speed, maximum speed, and average speed.
- Odometer and Trip Distance: Provides both single trip mileage (TRIP A and TRIP B) and total cumulative mileage (ODO).
- Push-Assistance Level Indication: Displays the current level of push assistance.
- Backlight On/Off: Allows control over the display's backlight.
- Trip Time Indication: Tracks the duration of a single trip.
- Error Code Indication: Alerts the user to system malfunctions by displaying specific error codes in the text indication area.
- Multiple Setting Parameters: Offers extensive customization options, including:
- Wheel diameter settings
- Speed limit settings
- Battery power bar voltage settings
- Multiple assist gear selection and assist parameter settings
- Power-on password setting
- Controller current limit setting
- Recover Default Settings: Option to revert all settings to their factory defaults.

- Speed Limit Range: 12 km/h to 40 km/h. Default is 25 km/h.
- Controller Over-current Cut Settings (CUR): Adjustable from 7.0A to 18.0A. Default is 15A.
- PAS Sensitivity (SCN): Values from "2" (strongest) to "9" (weakest). Default is "2".
- PAS Disk Magnet Numbers (n): Default is 064.
- Speed Sensor Settings (SPS): Range from 1 to 9 magnet heads on the wheel spoke. Default is 1.
- Battery Power Delay Time (DL): Selectable values of 3s, 6s, and 12s. Default is 3s.
- Slowly Start-Up Settings (SSP): Range from "1" (fastest) to "4" (slowest). Default is "1".
- Power-on Password: Default password is 2962.
Usage Features
The NOKEE-U display is designed for intuitive operation with three main buttons: [MODE], [UP], and [DOWN].
General Operation:
- Switching On/Off: Briefly press [MODE] to turn on. Hold [MODE] for 2 seconds to turn off. The system automatically switches off after 10 minutes of parking.
- Display Interface Cycle: After powering on, the display defaults to Speed and Total Distance. Pressing [MODE] and [UP] cycles through running speed, average speed, and max speed. Pressing [MODE] cycles through TRIP A (single mileage A), TRIP B (single mileage B), and ODO (cumulative mileage).
- Push-Assistance Mode: Hold [DOWN] to activate push-assistance at a uniform speed of 6 km/h, indicated by "WALK" on the screen. Release [DOWN] to deactivate.
- Headlight Control: Press [UP] for 2 seconds to turn on/off the headlights, indicated by a light icon on the display.
- Unit Conversion (km/mph): In General Settings (ST1), use [UP] or [DOWN] to select "MPH" or "KM/h", then [MODE] to confirm.
General Settings Access:
- Hold both [UP] and [DOWN] for 2 seconds to enter the general settings menu.
- Trip Distance Clearance: In the trip distance display, press [MODE] or [DOWN] until the single trip distance is zero.
Personalized Parameter Settings Access:
- Hold both [UP] and [DOWN] for 2 seconds, then hold both [UP] and [DOWN] again for 2 seconds to access personalized parameter settings.
- Navigate through settings items using [UP] or [DOWN], and press [MODE] to confirm and enter a specific setting page.
Specific Setting Adjustments:
- Wheel Diameter: In the settings interface, use [UP] or [DOWN] to select the desired wheel diameter, then [MODE] to confirm.
- Speed Limit: Use [UP] or [DOWN] to adjust the speed limit, then hold [MODE] for 2 seconds to save and exit.
- Battery Power Bar: Adjust voltage values for each of the 5 bars using [UP] or [DOWN], pressing [MODE] to confirm each bar and move to the next. Hold [MODE] to save and return.
- Assistance Level Option: Select from 8 modes (0-3, 1-3, 0-5, 1-5, 0-7, 1-7, 0-9, 1-9) using [UP] or [DOWN], then [MODE] to confirm and proceed to PAS Ratio settings.
- PAS Ratio: Adjust the ratio value (e.g., 30-50 percent for level 1) using [UP] or [DOWN], pressing [MODE] to confirm each level. Hold [MODE] for 2 seconds to save and return.
- Controller Over-current Cut (CUR): Adjust the current value using [UP] or [DOWN], then hold [MODE] to save and return.
- Direction of PAS: Select "run-F" (forward) or "run-b" (backward) using [UP] or [DOWN], then [MODE] to confirm and proceed to PAS sensitivity settings.
- PAS Sensitivity (SCN): Adjust sensitivity (2-9) using [UP] or [DOWN], then [MODE] to confirm and proceed to magnet quantity settings.
- Magnet Quantity (n): Adjust the number of magnets on the PAS disk using [UP] or [DOWN], then hold [MODE] to save and return.
- Speed Sensor (SPS): Adjust the number of magnet heads (1-9) using [UP] or [DOWN], then hold [MODE] to save and return.
- Throttle Definition (Hnd): Select "HL-n" (throttle disabled) or "HL-y" (throttle enabled) using [UP] or [DOWN], then [MODE] to confirm. If "HL-y" is selected, it proceeds to Throttle-PAS settings.
- Throttle -PAS Enable/Disable (HF): Select "HF-y" (throttle speed limited by assist level) or "HF-n" (throttle speed not limited by assist level) using [UP] or [DOWN].
- Delay Time of Battery Power (DL): Select 3s, 6s, or 12s using [UP] or [DOWN], then [MODE] to confirm and proceed to max speed limit.
- Button Push-assistance Enable/Disable (PUS): Select "Y" (enabled) or "N" (disabled) using [UP] or [DOWN], then [MODE] to confirm and proceed to PAS speed settings.
- Push-assistance Speed: Adjust speed from 20% to 35% using [UP] or [DOWN], then [MODE] to confirm and proceed to slowly start up.
- Slowly Start-Up (SSP): Adjust start-up speed (1-4) using [UP] or [DOWN], then hold [MODE] for 2 seconds to save and return.
- Power-on Password (P3): Modify the 4-digit password using [UP] or [DOWN] for each digit, pressing [MODE] to confirm each digit. After entering all 4 digits, press [MODE] to access password enable settings.
Maintenance Features
- Error Code Indication: The system continuously monitors components and displays error codes (e.g., 21: Current Abnormality, 22: Throttle Abnormality, 23: Motor Abnormality, 24: Motor Hall Signal Abnormality, 25: Brake Abnormality, 30: Communication Abnormality, 31: Power Button Abnormality, 34: 6km function button Abnormality).
- Repair Recommendation: If an error code appears, the display should be repaired, as the E-bike may not be ridable.
Operation Cautions:
- Ensure safe use; do not attempt to release the connector when the battery is powered on.
- Avoid hitting the display.
- Do not modify system parameters to prevent system disorder.
- Seek repair if an error code appears.
