With this option you can set the DMX mode depending on which status the port is
given.
If the port is an Input you can choose between two options: NORMAL or BACKUP.
NORMAL: The DMX port receives the DMX signal and sends it to the first
selected ArtNet universe.
BACKUP: In case of a failure, or when there are no DMX values on the first
selected ArtNet universe for more than 3 seconds, the NET 8/3 automatically
starts sending the DMX values from the backup port.
If the port is an Output you can choose between three options: SINGLE, HTP or LTP.
SINGLE: The DMX signal is sent to the DMX port from the first selected ArtNet
universe.
HTP (Highest Takes Precedence): The DMX signal is sent to the DMX port from
the merging of the 1
st
and 2
nd
ArtNet selected universe. It will compare the
values on the inputs and sends the highest value to the DMX port for each
DMX channel in both universes.
LTP (Latest Takes Precedence): The DMX signal is sent to the DMX port from the
merging of the 1
st
and 2
nd
ArtNet selected universe. It will compare the values
on the inputs and sends the last changed value to the DMX port for each
DMX channel in both universes.
Note: DMX Merging is when two or more sources of DMX are combined into one
control stream in order to control a single set of lighting fixtures.
For example: You can use two different DMX consoles to control the same lighting
fixtures. The first DMX console with 24 DMX channels on board, controls the first 24
DMX channels. The second DMX console with 24 DMX channels on board, controls
DMX channels 25 till 49.
With this option you can set the DMX frames per second which will be sent. The
factory setting is 40 fr/second. You can change it to 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35
fr/second.
With this option the merged signal from the 1
st
and 2
nd
ArtNet selected universe
keeps sending data if there is no activity. You can select to which Artnet universe
(from 0-15 and DISABLED) the data has to be sent to.
This function only works if the DMX Status is set to Output and DMX Mode is HTP/LTP.
