4.5 Protection of the environment
The PAC50 has been designed to minimize its impact on the environment. It consumes only a minimum
of energy. At work, always act in an environmentally responsible manner. For this reason, please note the
following information on disposal. The PAC50 display can be switched o (DISC function) to reduce power
consumption by the device.
4.5.1 Disposal after nal decommissioning
Always dispose of unusable or irreparable devices in accordance with the applicable specic national waste
disposal regulations. SICK AG does not currently take back devices that are unusable or irreparable.
5 Installation/Mechanical connection
Ensure that there is no mechanical load on the pressure switch during installation. Please
observe the ambient conditions specied in Section 9 (Technical data). The pressure transmitter
must not be exposed to condensation.
