GENIUS 2.2 PANIC, Electromechanical mul-point lock

In accordance with DIN EN 179 and DIN EN 1125, tesng and maintenance of the GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point
lock must be conducted aer 20,000 opening cycles, and once a month at least. The results must be documented.
Immediate tesng and maintenance must be conducted in the
case of vandalism.
• Check whether supplementary locking systems
have been subsequently added.
• Check whether original components of the
GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point lock have been
replaced.
If supplementary locking systems have been
added, the
GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point lock will not func-
on as intended.
If the components of the GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-
-point lock deviate from the originally delivered/
approved components, the GENIUS 2.2 PANIC
mul-point lock will not funcon as intended.
In both these cases, the delivery status must be
restored immediately otherwise the warranty will
expire.

• Check that all cables are free of damage.
• Check that all plug connecons are free from
contaminaon , corrosion or any form of
damage and that all cable connectors are rmly
seated in the bushing.
Damaged cables and contaminated, corroded or
loose plug connecons can lead to malfuncon/
failure.
Damaged cables and plug connecons must be
replaced immediately.
Get in touch with your contractual partner.
• Check that the screw connecons of the oper-
ang elements (lever handle or push bar) are
ghtened and the operang elements operate
free of play.
• Check that all further screw connecons of the
GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point lock are rmly
ghtened.
When the screw connecon is loosened, the GE-
NIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point lock works imprecisely,
the wear and tear increases, potenally resulng
in malfuncon/failure.
Tighten all loosened screws (manually, max. 1
Nm).
If the screws can no longer be ghtened (e. g.
because they have been overghtened), the screw
connecon must be serviced immediately.
Get in touch with your contractual partner.
With the door open, bring the locking elements
into the locking posion and check the hardware.
e. g.:
- Deformaon
- Wear
- Breakage
Damaged locking elements could inhibit/prevent
the locking and release and damage the PVC back-
ing of the frame parts.
The GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point lock must be
replaced if the locking elements are damaged.
Get in touch with your contractual partner.
Check frame parts for dirt, foreign objects and
damage
Dirty, blocked or damaged frame parts obstruct or
prevent the locking and release. This will lead to
malfuncon/ failure.
• Clean the frame parts and check the funconing
once again. The frame parts must be replaced if
the faultless funcon cannot be restored.
• Damaged frame parts must be replaced on
principle.
