GENIUS 2.2 PANIC, Electromechanical mul-point lock
We recommend checking the acvaon force required for the release of the GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point lock
with a dynamometer.
To obtain comparable values, the measurements must always be taken at the same locaon of the push bar/lever
handle.
• Measurement on the lever handle:
measure monthly at the same locaon at the
pressure end.
• Measurement on the push bar:
measure monthly at three same locaons.
- on the LH handle
- on the RH handle
- in the middle of the rod
• Document the measured values.
The unlocking of the door will be impeded or
prevented if the acvang force is too high. The
acvang force must be designed to ensure that
children and elderly, inrm people are also in a
posion to open the door.
If the measured values deviate considerably from
the determined values of the previous month, this
deviaon can be an indicator of wear and tear.

• Check the lubricaon status for:
- contaminaon
- dryness
- resin
If the GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point lock is insuf-
ciently lubricated, contaminated, or hardened
due to an inappropriate lubricant, this will lead to
sluggishness and wear and tear.
This will lead to malfuncon/ failure.
• Clean the contaminated areas with a dry cloth.
• Lubricate all lubricaon points with a resin-free,
fully synthec spray lubricant (see page 26).
• The use of resinous lubricants is inadmissible.
The enre GENIUS 2.2 PANIC mul-point lock
must be replaced if resinous lubricants are
used.
