A detailed view of the gear unit can be obtained from the drawings in the gearunit documentation.
Place a suitable container under the oildraining point of the gearunit housing.
If necessary connect a maintenance hose.
Unscrew the wetair filter on the top of the housing.
Unscrew the oildrain plug or open the oildrain cock and drain the oil into the collecting container.
There is a danger of scalding from the hot oil emerging from the housing.
Wear protective gloves.
Any oil spillage must be removed immediately with an oilbinding agent.
Check the condition of the sealing ring (the sealing ring is vulcanised onto the oildrain plug).
If necessary, use a new oildrain plug.
Clean the permanent magnet of the oildrain plug (if available) thoroughly.
Screw in the oildrain plug or reclose the oildrain cock.
Clean the oil filter in the oilcooling system as described in item 10.2.3.
Replace the wetair filter, if necessary (see item 10.2.4).
Screw in the wetair filter.
Fill fresh oil into the gear unit (see item 7.1.2).
