Housekeeping
This chapter describes the Diagnostics menu contain-
ing information about the integration of the
optiPoint 600 office into different communication envi-
ronments, as well as about the protocols and network
interfaces used.
Housekeeping provides the following menus:
• Passwords
• Restart phone page 38
• Restore phone data page 25
• Change operating mode page 40
Passwords
Enter the Administration menu. Access page 17.
Select "Housekeeping".
Select "Passwords".
Choose between
• Reset user password
• Administration password
Reset user password
This allows the administrator to deal with forgotten Per-
sonal user passwords.
Select "Reset user password".
Enter new password (Text input see page 41).
Input is echoed as asterisks.
Confirm new password.
Both may be left empty to indicate that no Personal
Password is being set.
Click softkey.
Administration password
Use this function to change the local administrator
password required to gain access to all administration
and diagnostic functions. The factory default adminis-
trator password is "123456".
Select "Administration password".
