3. Place the front connector in the pre-wiring position. This is done by fitting the bottom of
the front connector into the I/O module and swiveling up the front connector until it
latches into place.

Note
In this position, the front connector module is still protruding from the I/O module (see
figure above). The front connector module
and I/O module are not yet electrically
connected.
The pre
-wiring position makes it easy to wire the front connector module.
4. If required, connect the cables for the I/O module supply voltage to the front connector
module.
5. Connect the connecting cables to the front connector module.
