Electromagnetic compatibility
Definition
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is the capacity of an electrical installation to function
satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without affecting that environment. SIMATIC
TOP connect system cabling also satisfies, among others, the requirements of EMC
legislation for the European internal market. A prerequisite is S7-1500 system compliance
with specifications and directives for electrical design.
