Connecting the terminating resistor for PROFIBUS DP
Terminate a PROFIBUS DP segment, on both of its ends, which means on the first and last
device of the segment, with its characteristic impedance. There are two different terminating
resistors available for this purpose, for sockets and for connectors.
The figure below shows typical use of a terminating resistor.
