Following a reset, some degree of reprogramming may be required, depending on the
option chosen below.
While performing any reset, a loss of communications can be expected.
Setting range: Standard defaults Resets all parameters, excluding device addresses and Language, to the
PROFIBUS standard default settings.
After initiating a reset to Standard Defaults via the local user interface,
allow 1-2 minutes before initiating a new command locally.
Resets parameters such as Tag.
Functional Resets parameters that control device behavior and functionality(such as

• Resets the PROFIBUS device address to 126
• If the address lock was on, will disable the lock.
Purpose: Resets all parameter to factory defaults, with certain exceptions. The list of exceptions includes, but is

• Message

• Device Address
• Write Protection
• Auto False Echo Suppression Range
• Learned TVT
• Language
Description:
To access via SIMATIC PDM:
Open the menu
To perform a reset via the handheld programmer:
a) Press
to open Edit Mode then scroll down to the desired Reset option and press
to select it.
b) Press
to exit.
Read only unless WRITE PROTECT (6.2.1.) (Page 134) is set to Unlock (2457). Displays
the number of hours the unit has been powered up since manufacture.
