Programming of Traversing Blocks 04.97
The following table shows the many possible combinations of block transitions and their effect
in connection with G63:
from to X Y Z XY XZ YZ XYZ
Xaaabbab
Y aaababb
Z aaaabbb
XY a a a c b b b (Z) / c
XZ a a a b c b b (Y) / c
YZ a a a b b c b (X) / c
XYZ a a a c c c c
a . . . G63 has the same effect as G64
b . . . G63 effects a path-dependent chaining
c . . . G63 effects a path-dependent chaining for the axis/axes which at the moment of the
braking point of the traversing axis/axes has/have stopped. Otherwise, G63 has the
same effect as G64.
4.11.5 Block transitions with different coupling types
Block transitions between different types of coupling are generally effected at "digital 0", i.e. all
axes brake until the set-value interpolater has reached its point of destination.
Programming:
N10 G01 X100.000 Y100.000 F1000.00 Interpolation
N20 G77 X200.000 Y200.000 FX1000.00 FY1000.00 Chaining
N30 XY300.000 Synchronism
Note:
The transition to a block with synchronism (N20 N30) activates the
synchronism monitoring. It the block transition takes place at "digital 0", the axes
involved are not yet synchronous at that moment. The synchronism monitoring
might respond.
This can be avoided in two ways:
Increasing the synchronism tolerance, so that with block transitions at
"digital 0" no error occurs.
Programming G60 (exact stop) in the preceding block (N20). In this way,
synchronism monitoring is only activated after all axes involved have
reached their PEH window.
