• Test 7:
ELECTRIC CONTACT
Use any metal conductor to contact clamp to cutter, checking that the machine’s display indicates OFF
to ON
.
NOTE: if the ON/OFF transition is not made, check the brushes or contact Silca’s Technical Assistance
Dept.
• Test 8:
KEYBOARD
One at a time, press all the keys (except STOP) checking that an asterisk (*) appears for each key pressed.
Press the STOP key for last.
NOTE:
if the asterisk does not appear,
contact Silca’s Technical Assistance Dept.
• Test 9: DISPLAY
All points on the display should be obscured
.
NOTE: if this is not so, contact Silca’s Technical Assistance Dept.
• Test 10:
SERIAL PORT
Check that the machine’s display indicates OFF
.
Fit the special (Z4) serial test connector (accessories provided) to the machine’s serial port
