13. Trouble shooting guide
Some difficulties can be solved without the help of an expert. If a problem is encountered, try to follow the
recommendations below first. If the problem persists, do not open the body of the device or try to repair it by yourself,
contact the local Silhouet-Tone after-sales service.
The device turns on but does not work
• Check that the power cord is connected to the back of the unit.
• Check that your electrical outlet is working properly.
• Check the fuse at the AC cord connection on the body of the appliance. A 2nd fuse was provided
when you purchased your device. Change it if it has a grayish color.
The device works intermittently
• Check all connections of the unit.
• Check that not all accessories are in direct contact with each other.
• Check the light signal on the satellite accessory (the latter representing the visual time of currents
green galvanic current/ red high-frequency current).
The device is on but the current does not pass
• Check not to be in FOOTSWITCH mode and not in DETECTOR mode. To do this, check that the
DETECTOR button is not selected on the main screen.
• Make sure that the filament holder and footswitch are properly connected.
• Check the stopwatch, restart it or select real mode.
• Check that the different device settings are not set to zero.
• Check that the needle is inserted into the filament holder.
• Check the light signal on the accessory (the latter representing the visual current passage
time > green galvanic current/ red high-frequency current).
• Change the filament holder.
The device is on but the screen does not activate.
Turn off the unit with the power switch, wait 4 min and turn it back on.
• Check your connection connections and wall outlet.
There is no current in DETECTOR mode
• Check the detection delay.
• Check current intensity and duration settings.
• Check all connections.
• Check the light signal on the satellite accessory (the latter representing the visual time of
currents > green galvanic current/ red high-frequency current).
The beep does not work
Check the sound settings in the key.
