01. Important protective measures
Read all instructions before using the unit.
1. This appliance should only be used for purposes that are approved and described in this manual. Use only
accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
2. Before each use of the unit, check all cables and accessories for damage, excessive wear or crimping that could
affect the performance or safety of the system. Never use the system with visible damage.
3. Never treat a sensitive or inappropriate area.
4. Do not use this unit if the power cord has been damaged, if it is not working or is working incorrectly. Return the
device to the service center for verification and/ or repair.
5. Keep the power cable away from heat sources.
6. The power cord should be placed so that it is not trampled or compressed by objects placed on or next to it. Pay
particular attention to the location of cords, plugs, receptacles and outlet of the appliance.
7. WARNING : To avoid the risk of electric shock, this appliance must be connected only to a grounded outlet.
8. WARNING : Avoid spilling liquids on the unit.
9. Never immerse accessories in any type of liquid.
10. Never pull the power cord to disconnect the unit. Always do this by pulling firmly on the cable plug. Always leave
enough space between the unit and the power supply to easily access the plug.
11. This device must be used in a professional manner by duly trained and qualified personnel with knowledge of
skin physiology. If you have any questions regarding the operation of this unit, please contact Silhouet-Tone
Corporation or your local distributor.
Grounding Instructions:
12. The unit should only be connected to a grounded outlet. In the case of a short circuit, the grounding plug can
reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of leakage to the current.
13. The power cable is equipped with a three-pin plug. The third pin is the ground plug. This plug can only be
inserted into a grounded outlet (three holes).
14. DANGER : IMPROPER USE OF GROUND MAY CAUSE ELECTRIC SHOCK.
15. Do not use adapters with this unit. Do not change the outlet if it does not match the outlet.
16. Have an electrician install a suitable electrical outlet.
17. Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords to prevent the risk of fire or electric shock.
18. All repair work must be performed by Silhouet-Tone Corporation or an authorized representative.
19. CAUTION : Do not attempt to repair this unit yourself. Opening the device may expose you to high voltages
or other hazards and will void your warranty. Always use parts and accessories certified by Silhouet-Tone
Corporation.
20. To ensure continuous fire protection, always replace the fuse with a manufacturer approved type and amperage.
21. Slots and openings in the housing are provided for ventilation. They are there to ensure proper operation and
prevent overheating. These openings must not be blocked or covered. This appliance must not be placed in an
integrated installation unless adequate ventilation is provided.
