17. Terminology
A : abbreviation for Ampere. Unit of measurement of the intensity of an electric current.
Anaphoresis: pre-epilation treatment.
Blend: hair removal treatment that uses the combination of 2 different types of currents.
Cataphoresis: post-epilation treatment.
Electrolysis: hair removal method that uses galvanic current. Electrolysis is commonly referred to as permanent
electrical hair removal.
Galvanic: Direct current that does not vary over time.
Hz: abbreviation of Hertz. Unit of measurement of the frequency.
Insertion delay: time interval between when the device detects that the needle is at the bottom of the follicle and
when the current is automatically sent by the device.
