02. Contraindications
BEFORE THE START OF TREATMENT, COMPLETE THE CLIENT/PATIENT FORM AND THE CONSENT OR
AGREEMENT FORM
GENERAL CONTRAINDICATIONS:
• Epilepsy with convulsions
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Cancer, chemotherapy treatment and remission (after 1 year without treatment and without medication, on
medical authorization)
• Infectious diseases (HIV, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis)
• Hemophilia
• On Accutane
• Puberty (wait 1 year after the first period and ask for parental permission below 18 years)
• Multiple sclerosis
• Insulin-dependent or severe diabetes (Type 1)
• Cochlear Implants
• Pacemaker
• History of keloid scars
• Fever on the day of the session
LOCALES CONTRAINDICATIONS:
• Skin cancer
• Phlebitis, thrombosis
• Infection, inflammation, local dermatitis and burning
• Nevus (on medical authorization)
• Venous problem
• Ear canal
• Inner nostrils
• On erythema (inflammation, sunburn)
• Herpes simplex (labial and genital herpes)
• Neuralgia and local pain
• Sensory impairment
• Active skin lesion (eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis)
• Any medical condition that may delay the healing process
