Before first use
ATTENTION!
► Before using the steam iron for the first time to iron garments, first steam iron
a piece of fabric that is no longer needed (e.g. an old towel). This eliminates
any production residues that may be present.
1) Use the measuring cup
t to fill the water tank e (see section Filling the
water tank).
2) Plug the power plug into a mains power socket supplying an electrical
current corresponding to that given on the rating plate.
3) Slide the steam control
3 all the way down to position (more steam) (see
Fig. 1).

4) Let the steam iron heat up (see section Plugging in and ironing).
5) Now hold the steam iron horizontally. Steam escapes from the steam
outlets
r in the soleplate q.
6) Press the steam blast button
4 a few times so that as much steam as
possible is emitted through the steam outlets r.
7) Steam iron a piece of fabric that is no longer needed (e.g. an old towel)
to remove any production residue.
