9) To decalcify the soleplate
q
, place the steam iron in a shallow, sufficiently
large container (e.g. a shallow bowl). You have previously put the remaining
descaling mixture into this container (see step 3).
10) Leave the descaling mixture to soak in for approx. 5 minutes.
11) Remove the steam iron from the container and empty the descaling mixture
into a sink.
12) Put fresh water in the container and dip the soleplate
q
in a few times to
rinse it off.
13) Remove the steam iron from the container and dry the soleplate
q
with a
soft cloth.
Note
► After descaling the steam iron, always carry out two rinsing cycles using the
self clean button
w. Without a subsequent thorough rinsing of the water
tank e with tap water or distilled water, the use of a descaling agent is not
suitable.
Storage
Note
► Clean the appliance as described in the section Cleaning the housing
and soleplate before storing it.
Ƈ Store the cooled down steam iron in a clean, dust-free and dry place away
from direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
The following table will help you to identify and rectify minor malfunctions.
If the solutions below do not resolve the problem, please contact Customer
Service (see section Service).

not get hot.

Plug the power plug into a
mains socket.
The automatic switch-
off is activated.
Hold the steam iron by the
handle
7, so that it heats up
again.
The steam iron is
defective.
