3-3 Installing and Removing the Antenna
Make sure that the exible antenna is attached to the radio. Ensure that the radio is
turned OFF anytime that the antenna is not connected.
Installing the antenna:
1. Screw the antenna in a clockwise motion until it is securely locked into place.
Removing the antenna:
2. Unscrew the antenna in a anti-clockwise motion until it is removed (as illustrated
below).
Note: Do not operate the radio or press PTT key without the antenna being installed.
