4-8-2 Maintain Groups
You can program up to three group MMSI numbers and associated Group names. Group
MMSI numbers always begin with a zero (0). You only enter the last 8digits of the group ID
number, the intial”0” is automatically entered.
4-8-2-1 Enter your Groups
Use GROUP MMSI to create, edit, or delete 1, 2, or 3 groups of people that you call
frequently. The entries within a group are stored in alphanumeric order. A group MMSI
always has nine numbers and always starts with 0.
A group name can have a maximum of 12 alphanumeric characters.

Select DSC SETUP then GROUP SETUP.1.
If this is FIRST TIME that you’re entering a group name, no group appears. Otherwise, 2.

Use CH 3.
/ to enter the new group name, one alphanumeric character at a time.
Press ENTER to conrm each correct alphanumeric character and to move to the 4.
next position.
When you have entered the group name, push ENTER so the cursor moves to the 5.
MMSI line.
Use CH 6.
/ to enter the MMSI associated with that group name, one number at a
time. Pushes ENTER to conrm a number and move to the next position.
If you make an error, select the < character then press ENTER.7.
