TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS
NOTE: Always lubricate threads with clean hydraulic oil prior to installation
Use the following values to torque hydraulic components used on Snorkel work platforms.
FASTENERS
This standard applies to the pre-loading of fasteners measured by installation torque.
NOTE: For other pre-loading methods or fasteners, consult Snorkel engineering depart-
ment.
This general standard applies to all SAE and metric fasteners unless otherwise specied.
THREAD CONDITION
• For lube or zinc plated fasteners, use k = 0.15
• For dry unplated fasteners, use k = .20
