Why is my Sony Printer not printing correct colors?
    • C
      crystalcookeSep 3, 2025
If you're experiencing incorrect colors when printing from your Sony Printer, and you are using application other than PictureGear Studio, uncheck “Exif Print” in the “Color reproduction/Picture quality” section. Also, the ICM setting is valid only when you are using an ICM-compliant application. Verify your software supports ICM.

How to fix Sony DPP-FP30 printing images with borders despite selecting borderless print?
    • K
      Kelly MartinSep 2, 2025
If your Sony Printer image is printed with borders even when you select the borderless print option, and you are not using PictureGear Studio, you can try the following: If your application allows setting the print range, ensure the image is set to print fully within that range, even if it extends beyond it. Alternatively, increase the value in the “Enlarge/Reduce” text box located in the “Paper/Output” tab of the “Sony DPP-FP30 Properties” dialog box. If borders persist on the right and bottom, check “Upper left reference”.

Why are the printed pictures from my Sony Printer inferior in quality?
    • T
      Tom DeanAug 26, 2025
To address inferior print quality from your Sony Printer, remember that preview images saved with primary images by a digital camera may have lower print quality. Avoid printing on used paper as it can damage the printer. Ensure you're not touching the shiny printing surface to prevent imperfections from fingerprints. Wipe the plastic part of the print cartridge to remove any dust. Note that AdobeRGB image files not supporting DCF 2.0 will print in vague colors without proper color corrections.

Why won't my Sony Printer feed paper?
    • C
      Christine SanchezAug 25, 2025
If the print paper in your Sony Printer does not feed, there might be several reasons. Ensure that you're using the correct print paper and print cartridge set. Do not exceed the paper limit in the tray and make sure the tray adapter is set according to your paper size. Riffle the print paper thoroughly before loading it, and avoid using bent or folded paper. It is recommended to only use print paper specifically designed for the printer. Also, check for paper jams if the ERROR indicator flashes rapidly; remove the paper tray to inspect and clear any jams.

What to do if my Sony DPP-FP30 does not respond to printing orders from my PC?
    • J
      Julie SnyderAug 23, 2025
If your Sony Printer does not respond to a print order from your PC, first check the ERROR indicator. If it's lit or flashing, try these steps: turn the printer off and on, disconnect and reconnect the AC power adapter (waiting 5-10 seconds in between), and restart your computer. Also, ensure that you are not simultaneously connecting a PictBridge-compliant digital camera and the PC to the printer. Remove the cable from the PICTBRIDGE connector when connecting from the PC. If problems persist after these steps, it may be necessary to consult with your Sony dealer or service facilities. You can also try removing and reconnecting the USB cable.
