Why is there no sound from my Soundstream VR-930B with amplifiers?
    • P
      Paul JonesAug 7, 2025
If there is no sound output from your Soundstream Car Receiver when operating it with amplifiers or a power antenna, the power antenna lead may be shorted to ground, requiring excessive current, or there may be an issue with the remote on the amplifiers or power antenna. To resolve this: 1. Turn off the unit. 2. Remove all wires attached to the power antenna lead and check each wire for a possible short to ground using an ohm meter. 3. Turn on the unit. 4. Reconnect each amplifier remote wire to the power antenna lead one by one. If the amplifiers turn off before all wires are attached, use an external relay to provide remote-on voltage (excessive current required).

      james43Aug 13, 2025
If the sound quality from your Soundstream Car Receiver is poor immediately after turning it on, it might be because the compact disc is dirty. Clean the compact disc without scratching it. Alternatively, the compact disc may be heavily scratched or warped, in which case you should replace it with a compact disc without scratches.

If the sound from your Soundstream Car Receiver is poor right after you turn it on, it could be due to water droplets forming on the internal lens when the car is parked in a humid place. Let it dry for about 1 hour with the power on.

How to fix a Soundstream Car Receiver when the power does not turn on?
    • J
      John WebsterAug 26, 2025
If your Soundstream Car Receiver doesn't turn on and no sound is produced, it could be due to a blown fuse. Replace the fuse with one of the same amperage. If it blows again, consult your store of purchase. Another cause might be incorrect wiring, in which case you should consult your local retailer.

What to do if buttons are not working on Soundstream Car Receiver?
    • T
      Todd TaylorAug 31, 2025
If nothing happens when you press the buttons on your Soundstream Car Receiver and the display is not accurate, it could be due to a microprocessor malfunction caused by noise. Turn off the power, then press the [no open] button and remove the DCP. Press the reset button for about 2 seconds with a thin rod. Alternatively, the panel or main unit connectors may be dirty. If so, wipe the dirt off with a soft cloth moistened with cleaning alcohol.
