6. SHIFTING & CABLE ROUTING
Your Diverge STR comes standard with a wireless (eTap) shifting system. For more information on this system, see the manufacturer’s instructions.
When using a fully wireless shifter, insert a cable guide plug into the port to seal against dirt and debris (S216500003).
Following are instructions on how to set up mechanical and wired shifting systems.
6.1. SHIFTING - MECHANICAL SYSTEM
When using a mechanical rear derailleur, running a mechanical dropper post cable in tandem will not be possible. The frame allows only two housings/hoses to be run
internally in the down tube.
Refer to the manufacturers’ manuals supplied with your bicycle for more information on assembly and adjustments.
The Diverge STR uses a 1x front chainring and does not support a front derailleur.
FIG. 1
ROUTE THE REAR DERAILLEUR HOUSING
Starting at the chainstay ICR port behind the dropout, guide the housing through the chainstay to the bottom bracket.
Guide the housing into the ICR channel in the downtube with your fingers. Push the cable upward until it exits the ICR port near the headtube.
Install the derailleur onto the hanger according to the component manufacturer’s instructions.
